We look to the EU Parliament for inspiration. The successful mandate for a common USB-C charger proved that, when faced with unnecessary waste, decisive policy can force industry-wide efficiency. Just as the EU eliminated the chaos of multiple charging standards, we believe a similar systemic shift is required to address paper consumption. If the EU Parliament were to mandate a transition toward digital-first, persistent physical-to-digital (P2D) identifiers, we could reduce daily paper waste by 10-20% immediately.
